What is Black Women in Tech DACH ?
Black Women in Tech DACH (BWIT DACH) is an organization developed to connect Black Women in the tech industry in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the DACH region) with one another. Whether you are already working in the technology industry or looking to find a footing there, we’re dedicated to helping you build your skillset, empower you to start and build your brand and help you expand your professional network.
Our members are Black Women across different roles and companies within the tech industry who have an extensive knowledge base and years of experience while also managing to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in the industry.
How it started
Each founding member has left a footprint on the Technology Industry in different functions, companies and the DACH countries. Throughout their career each of us has found ways to navigate and grow our careers. In conversations we all realized we've experienced similar things and decided to create a safe space where experiences can be shared and a place in which we can uplift each others and others trying to break down the barrieres.
Our Vision
Our vision is to normalise the empowermenr, representation and recognition og Black Female talent in the Technology industry across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
Our Mission
Our mission is to come together as a community of Black Women in Tech to educate, inspire and recognize our achievements in DACH. To further our mission we collaborate with Tech Companies and influencers to contribute to diversity and representation in the Technology industry in DACH.
